Programming for Teens (PFT)

Our Programming for Teenagers programme turns our youth from digital consumers to digital creators. By teaching them the fundamentals of programming, the students are empowered to take an idea of what to build and figure out a step-by-step approach to see it come to life. Opportunities to learn programming are limited as computers can be expensive and schools are not equipped with the appropriate technology or staff to teach it. ClickToStart Foundation believes that we should all have a fair chance to succeed, as such we target youth from under served communities, provide them with the resources and support to learn programming, and open them to one of the most economically viable industries globally.

This eight-week course introduces students to the Python programming language, as it is accessible and heavily used by software developers locally and abroad. They learn core programming techniques and logical thinking is reinforced. Near the end of the course, we introduce them to game development in Python, showing them techniques to handle complex problems while having fun.
